The second phase of the Joint Entrance Examination is the JEE Advanced. The candidates who score above the cutoff score in JEE Main will be allowed to appear for JEE Advanced. The JEE Advanced is an online examination that is usually conducted by seven different IITs on a rotational basis. The seven IITs are IIT Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Guwahati and IIT Roorkee. The syllabus for JEE Advanced is decided by the examination authority, and it is basically mapped according to the NCERT curriculum.
JEE Advanced 2022
The JEE Advanced will be conducted only once a year after the JEE Main results are announced for both sessions. The examination schedule for JEE Advanced 2022 will be released by IIT Bombay. The entrance examination will include two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. It is mandatory for the candidates to appear for both papers in order to be eligible for the merit list.

The JEE Advanced application form will be available on the official website. For foreign nationals, the JEE Advanced registration will usually start a few weeks earlier. The application form for JEE Advanced will be available on the official website for a limited period of time. The application form can be filled out by the candidates only after the registration form is submitted. Only the candidates who qualify in JEE Main will be eligible for JEE Advanced.
Steps to Fill the JEE Application Form
- The candidates can access the JEE Application form only after filling out the registration form and submitting it.
- After registration, the candidates can visit the official website to access the application form.
- The candidates should enter the JEE main roll number and their date of birth to open the application form.
- The next step is to generate the new password for JEE Advanced.
- After entering the generated passwords, the candidate will be directed to the application form page.
- In the application form, the candidates should fill in the academic and personal details, the number of attempts, JEE main application number, preferred language of the question paper and preferred examination centre.
- The required documents should be uploaded.
- Payment of application fee can be made using a credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI etc.
Documents for JEE Advanced Application Form
The documents required while filling the application form are Class 10 marksheet, Class 12 marksheet, a photograph of the candidate, caste certificate, scanned copy of signature and thumb impression. The foreign nationals should present the citizenship certificate, copy of passport and testimonial if required.
Retrieval of Forgotten Password
If the candidate forgets the password while opening the application form, it can be easily retrieved. The candidates can answer the security question set during the registration process to recover the password. The candidates can also opt to change the password using the link they receive in the mail.
